| Biography |
Magog was conceived by Elgareth and Hvergelmer in Borlänge, Sweden anno 1997. The vision and foundation of the music has always been within the frames of Black Metal, to create something profound, making the listeners wanting more.
Over the years some members have decided to leave the band due to our passion and dedication for the music, which did not fit into their agenda. However the core of Magog still remains. In the year of 2000 our musical progress pushed us into finding a violinist. This resulted in Eldhrimnir joining the band. Ever since, Magog has been a steady provider to the underground metal scene, releasing roughly one demo a year.
The band endured a rebirth and a name change in 2005 and Evangeli saw the dark of night. In these times of change a new member joined the band, resulting in the Evangeli that we know today. Lord Gus entered with the skills and ambition to push Evangeli further. After months of intense rehearsal the idea to record one of our gigs resulted in the creation of "...in sin", a 7-track live DVD.
As of today our resolve is to further spread the music and create a lasting impression in the metal genre. In 2007 we are focused on landing a record deal and getting more gigs. By distributing our material to record companies, clubs/festivals, radio stations/zines we have accepted that challenge.
