| Biography |
Carpathia are a Black/Thrash/Progresive Metal band from Coventry. Carpathia consists of Tom Sullivan - (Guitar,Lead Vocals) James Rodgers - (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Lee Drinkwater (Bass guitar,Backing vocals) and Tom Atherton - (Stormblast,well...drums). Formed in March 2005, the band originally consisted of Tom Sullivan, James Rodger and Paul frost who were the remainders of Sanctuary (a coventry based thrash metal group), and decided to ditch it and all memory of the project and start again. Tom Atherton offered his drum skills to help get things rolling (no pun intended) and decided after a few practises decided to join officially. The early material sounded something in the direction of 'at the gates'/'the haunted', but over the last 7/8 months the direction has moved towards prog/black metal.
We are currently settin off gigging and are looking for future events to participate in,get in touch if you would like to put us on a show,we love to play live and sure everyone else will love it too.
We've just recorded a demo of a few songs at Ire Studios (tom sullivans bedroom),using a bfd drum module..mp3's of the two tracks 'Disconnect' and 'Corporeal Nightmares' are available to listen to/download, but you can buy the .wav files from us at 2 for the two tracks (plus a free re-recording of an early track -'Holy Hell') .
